Mia Robinson

Mia Robinson is a 35 year old Atlanta native that lives with Sickle Cell SC Disease. Mia holds an associates degree in Business Administration and is the owner of Sickle Cell Awareness 365, an apparel line that promotes awareness of the disease. Mia has always been involved in the Sickle Cell community. She attended Sickle Cell camp as a child and continued once she became of age and became a camp counselor. Mia also speaks with teens with Sickle Cell Disease that are transitioning out of pediatric care into adult care. As a child, Mia used her creativity to cope with not only her battles with Sickle Cell Disease,  but also with life in general. She has always loved writing and drawing. In 2016 after a long hiatus, Mia tapped back into her creative skills and started Art Therapy. Art Therapy is a healthy coping mechanism for people of all ages and all walks of life. Any form of artistic expression can be a huge stress reliever when life gets you down. It allows one to focus on what’s in front of them and be free with their thoughts and emotions and express them in a way that is acceptable for them.
